Vera Lynn (1917 - 2020) the English singer promoting her autobiography, 'Some Sunny Day' at Hatchards. Dame Vera Lynn was known as the 'Forces' sweetheart' in World War II and her singing career continued successful after the war in the UK and the USA with recordings, stage, radio, films and charity work. Her album “We'll Meet Again – The Very Best of Vera Lynn”, is released two days later by Decca reaching number twenty in the album charts, making the 92-year-old vocalist the oldest living artist to have made it into the top 20.
