US Embassy
A rally and march to Free Shaker Aamer, the last Londoner who is still held illegally in Guantanamo after more than 8 years. The campaigners march from Nine Elms past the proposed future London US Embassy location building site, in Battersea, ironically in the very same borough of London where detainee Shaker Aamer is from and his family remain awaiting his return. The freedom march ends at Battersea Arts Centre for a panel talk and later film screening. London 11th December 2010
PS: Shaker Aamer was released from Guantanamo on 30th of October 2015 and returned to Britain to be reunited with his family.
