Vanessa Redgrave, English actress and campaigner, has just delivered a letter with an Amnesty International delegation, a letter from Johina Aamer the daughter of, Shaker Aamer who is being held in Guantanamo concentration camp to Prime Minister Gordon Brown appealing for the release of her father. Vanessa Redgrave is an actor and also campaigns for human rights. This is the eighth anniversary of the notorious US detentions at Guantánamo Bay. Shaker Aamer was cleared for release in 2007; he has never been charged or tried for any offence however he has not been freed! His British wife and children live in London and have been awaiting his return for eight years. This is the eighth anniversary of the US detentions at Guantánamo Bay.
