Gered Mankowitz photographer attending his exhibition ‘Photo Alchemy’ at Snap Galleries. From the early sixties Gered Mankowitz has been photographing definitive portraits of the most creative musicians of the period including Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones and many others. Over the years his work has ranged from the music scene to advertising and the arts. His work is held in national collections including the National Portrait Gallery in London, and has been widely exhibited and published. Gered Mankowitz has published a number of books on photography; including a book, entitled, “Masons Yard To Primrose Hill” & “I Contact”. Birmingham, UK, 7th of August 2004
