Michael Stuart (1933 - 2013).
Michael Stuart's work in the animation field has ranged from commercials, television series, concert material to feature films. Stuart’s work has included animation on TV Cartoons “Beatles” series 1964; for Halas and Batchelor “The Lone Ranger” series 1967; returned to TVC for “Yellow Submarine” the Beatles feature film as a key animator 1968; for Potterton Productions (Montreal) “Happy Prince” 1971; Trickfilm Studios and Grand Slamm Animation, on commercials 70-72.
Mike Stuart worked with “Pink Floyd” and Gerald Scarfe - animation designer and director on the projects, on the animation for their shows “Wish you were here” and “Animals”; Mike Stuart animated on “The Wall” the live show and later the feature film directed Alan Parker 77-81.
Mike Stuart animated “The Galaxy song” in Terry Gilliam “The Meaning of Life” 1982; before forming with Jill Brooks the company, Stuart Brooks Animation 1983 – 1993. Directed, from ‘script to screen’ two half hour episodes of Beatrix Potters “Samuel Whiskers” (Shown at the Edinburgh Film Festival 1993), “Pigling Bland” (Nominated for a BAFTA 1998) at Stuart Brooks Animation Ltd.
Mike Stuart animation directed for Murakami Wolf Prod in Dublin, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” 1991. Animation director for TVC on “Wind in the Willows” a Carlton TV production, 1995 London. Directed for Ginger Gibbons at Grand Slamm Childrens Films, all 78x10 minute episodes of 'KIPPER' 1998 - 2000. It was nominated for a BAFTA Award three times and won once - in 1998. Script development, writing and illustrating a Children’s book. Designing a Carnival Float on the theme of Global warming for the Viareggio Carnival in Italy 2007.

Perviously I had worked with animation director Mike Stuart on The Wall for the Pink Floyd stage show, doing some of the complex rostrum camerawork. On this occasion I was filming for Mike Stuart on the River Thames atTeddington, actors rowing boats, the like and also water effects, for use and reference material for the TVCartons Wind in the Willows feature.
