Tony Iles (1936 - 2010) started working for Kodak in 1963 in senior technical cinematographic positions from1963 retiring in 1996. Iles was awarded the Eastman Gold Medal by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers in New York 1999. After retiring from Kodak he organised many conferences on special effects for British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society (BKSTS). He was a contributor to the magazine Image Technology, other publications and technical papers.
