Dr Jim Marshall OBE (1923 - 2012), sitting on his old drummer’s seat in his office, with a picture of his father in the background, at Marshall Amplification plc, Worldwide Headquarters, a company that he founded in 1962 and built up into an internationally respected company for the quality of the Amplifiers with the characteristic Marshall sound. Jim Marshall personal customers included many of the great rock musicians including Jimi Hendrix when Mitch Mitchell, who had learnt drumming initially from Jim Marshall, introduced them.
