Gaiety Cinema
Gaiety Cinema, fading logo high up at the top back of the Odeon Cinema building in Hastings, it was the old original cinema on this site. It started out as Gaiety Theatre 1882 - 1932. Then became a cinema, Gaiety Picture Theatre 1932 - 1966; Classic Cinemas 1967 - 1971; Cannon, 1971 - 1984; MGM 1984 - (1996!); ABC 1996 - 2001; Odean 2001 to present. But the buildings first cinema was Gaiety Cinema and is still credited, though now in weather beaten but proud white letters, at the top of the building.
