Andy Warhol portrait of Hergé (born Georges Prosper Remi 1907 – 1983) best known as the creator of Tintin. Warhol's pop art portrait is displayed as part of an extensive exhibition about the major Belgian cartoonist HERGÉ at museum Grand Palais, in partnership with the Musée Hergé, open until 15th January 2017. Hergé was keenly interested in modern art as Andy Warhol was in comic art. Hergé the creator of Tintin is an intriguing storyteller, researched with a cast of entertaining characters illustrated in the wonderful crisp drawing style with fresh but atmospheric colour sense. Herge has often been described as "the father of the European comic strip”. The exhibition gets into his backstory, his influences, interests, travels, and life. Paris, France 06/01/2017
