Jeremy Corbyn MP in green jacket, marching in the front line with other peace campaigners, at the biggest anti-war demonstration ever held in Britain. Additionaly because it was a international coordinated day of peace with demonstrations across the world held in up to 60 countries expressing opposition to the imminent invasion of Iraq, it was also the largest protest event in human history. Never have so many people in history got it right, (pity about the leaders). Jeremy Corbyn and fellow peace campaigners had the clear vision to anticipate the human suffering and extreme problems that a war against Iraq would cause. However the British Government did not listen to the people and under Prime minister Tony Blair taking instructions from President George W. Bush’s administration, instigated the unnecessary and cruel war, anyway. NOT IN OUR NAME was the popular slogan for the peace campaigners. Jeremy Corbyn MP voted against Iraq War.
