Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens bronze statue by sculptor Sir George Frampton, was installed for May Day, the 1st of May 1912. It was commissioned by the author J.M. Barrie and based on his literary character first published in 1902. The location in Kensington Gardens, Long Water, was chosen the J. M. Barrie who lived near bye and was inspired by the park. The very spot is where Peter Pan had landed in Barrie's story.
