Cornelia Mayer

Cornelia Mayer plays zither before the screening of The Third Man at the Rex Cinema Berkhamsted as part of the Graham Greene International Festival 2009 organised by Graham Greene Birthplace Trust. Cornelia Mayer plays specially selected virtuoso zither music by Viennese composers including Anton Kara's 'The Harry Lime Theme' music from "The Third Man" a film directed by Carol Reed based on a story by the author Graham Greene. Mayer studied zither and bassoon in Vienna and Graz and is author of several books about the Vienna zither. Mayer performs both as a soloist and as a member of Ensemble Monopol.
