Brian Haw rings bell

Brian Haw rings bell to punctuate his speech about the suffering created by war. Brian uses this bell quite a lot during this period of his peace campaign. However the sound of the peace bell is not appreciated by the government across the road. Indeed during Parliamentary debates some Members of Parliament feel the sound of the bell distracting. On the other hand Brian Haw feels the Iraqi civilians found the sound of being bombed and the effects more than distracting. The Police some days later confiscate the ringer inside the bell, muting its sound. Parliament Square, Westminster, London, UK, 14th of May 2006
