John Hartley Williams

John Hartley Williams (1942 - 2014) published seven previous poetry collections, most recently Spending Time with Walter (2001), and one romance, Mystery In Spiderville (2002). He won the Arvon International Poetry Competition in 1983. He teaches English at the Free University of Berlin, where he has lived since 1976. John Hartley Williams’s book of poetry Blues, published by Jonathan Cape, was short-listed for the T S Eliot Prize 2004. Bloomsbury Theatre, Gordon Street, London, UK, 16th January 2005
